I really like this idea. An established company (e.g. Microsoft) can define their competition (Apple, Google, etc); but a startup (something new) doesn’t have competitors as there isn’t the market yet. That’s what they’re creating. Hence their competitor is habits and consumer motivation to change (ie the status quo).
